Bright Minds Courses

Bright Minds is committed to improving the quality of science education throughout all levels of schooling across the state. We offer a range of professional development workshops and courses which provide teachers the opportunity to broaden and update their science skills and knowledge.

Professional development courses currently being offered include:

Graduate Certificate in Education (Science Education)

Commencing in 2005 this program combines the courses offered through the science in education workshops with additional pedagogy courses to enable teachers to gain further tertiary qualifications.

Graduate Certificate in Molecular Biology

Provides teachers with a flexible study program to update skills and knowledge in modern molecular biology

Graduate Certificate in Molecular Biology (Education)

Combines updates in molecular biology content with pedagogy for senior science teachers

Enrichment Studies (for Teachers)

Enrichment Studies

In chemistry or biology gives academically able students the opportunity to study a first-year university subject at school during their senior years. Both subjects are taught by the teacher at school.
